WAP/Mobile Banking

Some banks allow their customers to access account details and some simple services through the use of Mobile Internet services, or WAP banking. This service utilises mobile telephones that have access to the internet to allow customers access to their bank accounts.

WAP Banking is not very common nor is it offered by many banks as the take up of WAP banking services has historically been very low, especially when compared with home computer based access.

TV Banking

A number of banks also offer access to bank account information through Interactive TV. This access can be through the use of interactive TV services such as Sky Interactive, or through cable television service providers such as Telewest or NTL.

Not all banks allow access through these services and the take up of Interactive TV banking has been historically fairly low.
