The Bank of England

The Bank of England is the central bank of the UK, and is the centre of the UK's financial system. Established in 1694, it is located in Threadneedle Street in the City of London, and as such is sometime known as The Old Lady of Threadneedle Street. Its two most important functions are supporting the economic policies of the government and maintaining price stability.
